Key Visual - AI Creative Exploration
I aimed to create a key visual inspired by Peter Tarka's distinctive style, incorporating geometric shapes in a carefully chosen color palette. Additionally, I sought to integrate organic elements from nature, particularly drawing from the lush aesthetics of the monstera plant.
Initially, I began by meticulously referencing the AI with specific styling prompts encompassing colors, lighting, mood, and desired natural elements. The resulting images encapsulate these intentions.
Following the establishment of the desired style, lighting, elements, colors, and materials, my next objective was to seamlessly incorporate my name into the layout, aligning with the overarching goal of the project.
Continuing the creative exploration, I delved into refining the typography for the project, considering aspects such as rounded edges, serif fonts, fill or stroke options, color schemes, and overall playfulness to complement the surrounding imagery and aspect ratio of the final output.
As the key visual was intended for inclusion in my portfolio, I adjusted the aspect ratio to 16:9. However, upon review, the composition appeared overly cluttered, and the font treatment did not align with my vision.
In an effort to enhance the visual impact, I experimented with incorporating more natural elements. However, this approach resulted in an overcrowded composition that detracted from the intended mood of the image. While one iteration approached the desired outcome, it still lacked a certain element to achieve cohesion.
Ultimately, I arrived at three distinct variations of the key visual. The first iteration strikes the most balanced composition, while the 9:16 aspect ratio version offers enhanced legibility and prominently features the monstera leaf. Lastly, the third iteration, which I particularly favor, serves as an ideal cover page for one of the slides in my portfolio presentation.
